3. Website Use Does Not Create a Patient-Provider Relationship
Using this website, reading website content, clicking “Get Started,” submitting a general inquiry, signing up for emails, or interacting with RhodesMed online does not create a patient-provider relationship with RhodesMed, any RhodesMed brand, any clinician, or any medical advisor.
A patient-provider relationship is established only after appropriate intake, consent, clinical review, acceptance for care, and any other required steps are completed through the RhodesMed patient process.
RhodesMed may decline to provide care if your needs are outside our scope, if care is not clinically appropriate, if you are outside our service area, or for other lawful reasons.
4. Treatment Depends on Clinical Appropriateness
RhodesMed may provide medical care for eligible patients when clinically appropriate.
Treatment decisions are based on many factors, including your symptoms, medical history, medications, allergies, risk factors, labs when appropriate, clinical judgment, applicable law, and available services.
RhodesMed does not guarantee that any patient will receive a specific diagnosis, medication, prescription, lab order, procedure, treatment plan, or outcome.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- GLP-1 medications
- Semaglutide or tirzepatide
- Metformin
- Hormone therapy
- Estradiol or progesterone
- Vaginal estradiol
- Testosterone or DHEA
- Treatment for erectile dysfunction
- Sleep support
- Skin or hair prescriptions
- Hair restoration procedures
- Lab testing
- Pharmacy routing
- Refills or dosage adjustments
All medications, labs, procedures, and treatment plans are provided only when clinically appropriate. Not every patient is a candidate for every treatment.
5. Medications Are Not Right for Everyone
Medications discussed on this website may not be appropriate, safe, available, or effective for every person.
Medications can have risks, side effects, contraindications, interactions, and monitoring requirements. Certain medications may not be appropriate based on your medical history, pregnancy status, cancer history, cardiovascular risk, blood clot risk, liver or kidney function, medication list, allergies, lab results, or other health factors.
Only a qualified clinician can determine whether a medication or treatment is appropriate for you.
Do not use website content as a substitute for medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, or medication counseling.
6. Compounded Medications
RhodesMed may prescribe compounded medications when clinically appropriate. A compounded medication is prepared for an individual patient by a licensed compounding pharmacy.
Compounded medications are not FDA approved. The Food and Drug Administration does not review a compounded preparation for safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing quality before it reaches you. This is true of every compounded medication in the United States, from every pharmacy, and it is a consequence of how federal law treats medications made for one patient at a time.
That is not the same as saying they are unregulated, and it is worth knowing the difference.
- Our compounding pharmacy is a registered 503B outsourcing facility
- It is required to follow current good manufacturing practice standards
- The FDA inspects it on a risk-based schedule
- We compound only with active ingredients that are components of FDA approved drugs
- When an FDA approved product meets your clinical needs, your clinician prescribes that product instead
A 503B outsourcing facility is held to more manufacturing quality assurance than a traditional compounding pharmacy. That is a meaningful difference, and it is still not FDA approval. No compounded preparation from any pharmacy, of any type, is FDA approved.
Compounded medications may differ from commercially available FDA approved products in strength, formulation, inactive ingredients, storage requirements, or shelf life. Availability, pricing, and pharmacy fulfillment are set by the pharmacy and may change.
Your clinician will discuss the risks, benefits, and alternatives with you before prescribing a compounded medication.
7. Labs and Blood Work
RhodesMed may use labs or blood work when clinically appropriate.
Labs can help inform care, but labs alone do not diagnose every condition or explain every symptom. Clinical care may also consider your history, symptoms, goals, risk factors, medication use, and clinician evaluation.
Lab availability, timing, pricing, insurance coverage, and cash pay options may vary. Labs are billed separately from your visit. RhodesMed does not guarantee insurance coverage or reimbursement for labs.
8. In Person Procedures and Hair Restoration
RhodesMed offers Hair Restoration as an in person procedure line in St. George, Utah. Hair Restoration is not telehealth and requires an in person consultation and evaluation.
Hair Restoration may involve platelet rich fibrin, exosomes, stem cell derived products, topical or oral prescriptions, or other treatments, when clinically appropriate.
Platelet rich fibrin, exosome, and stem cell derived products are not FDA approved for the treatment of hair loss. No treatment offered by RhodesMed is a cure for hair loss or male or female pattern baldness. Not every patient is a candidate. Results vary and are not guaranteed.
Any procedure carries risk. Your clinician will discuss the risks, benefits, alternatives, and expected course of treatment with you before any procedure, and you will be asked to provide informed consent.
Website content about Hair Restoration is educational. It is not a recommendation that any specific treatment is right for you.
9. Results Are Not Guaranteed
RhodesMed does not guarantee specific medical outcomes, symptom improvement, weight loss results, hair growth, lab changes, medication access, prescription approval, pharmacy fulfillment, insurance reimbursement, or clinical eligibility.
Every patient is different. Your response to care may vary based on your health history, biology, medication tolerance, consistency, lifestyle, labs, follow up, and other factors.
Testimonials, before and after images, examples, educational content, or general descriptions of care should not be understood as a promise that you will experience the same result.
10. Telehealth Has Limits
RhodesMed may provide care through telehealth when appropriate.
Telehealth can be convenient and effective for many types of care, but it has limitations. A virtual visit may not allow the same physical examination, testing, or assessment available in an in person medical setting.
RhodesMed may recommend in person care, urgent care, emergency care, specialist evaluation, imaging, labs, or additional medical evaluation if clinically appropriate.
Telehealth may not be appropriate for every patient, symptom, or condition.
11. State Availability and Location
RhodesMed currently serves eligible adult patients located in Utah. Hair Restoration is performed in person in St. George, Utah.
Telehealth care depends on applicable law, clinician licensure, patient location, and clinical appropriateness. You may be asked to confirm your physical location at the time of care.
If you are outside the RhodesMed service area, RhodesMed may not be able to provide medical care.
12. Third-Party Services
RhodesMed may use or link to third-party services, including Healthie, our electronic health record and patient portal, as well as labs, pharmacies, payment processors, email tools, SMS or text messaging providers, analytics tools, and other operational systems.
Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy practices, availability, pricing, and limitations.
RhodesMed does not control third-party pharmacy pricing, medication availability, lab pricing, insurance coverage decisions, shipping timelines, technology interruptions, or third-party service performance.
13. Educational Content May Change
Medical knowledge, clinical guidelines, medication availability, telehealth rules, and treatment options may change over time.
RhodesMed may update website content, service descriptions, treatment descriptions, eligibility information, pricing information, or this Medical Disclaimer at any time.
We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate information, but we do not guarantee that all website content is complete, current, or applicable to your individual health situation.
14. Relationship to Other Policies
This Medical Disclaimer should be read together with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, Telehealth Consent, and Patient Financial Policy.
If you become a patient, your care may also be governed by additional consents, notices, agreements, patient portal forms, or other patient-facing documents.
Care is provided by RhodesMed PLLC. Administrative services may be supported by 146 Holdings LLC.
